Deal hunter: Free on-roads for BYD Seal Performance amid EOFY specials

End-of-financial-year deals continue to woo buyers, with BYD, Ford, Volkswagen and Volvo among them

The BYD Seal Performance is a flagship model in the Chinese car-maker’s burgeoning range, and as competition intensifies among the leading EV brands in Australia, the mid-size sports sedan has emerged with an attractive new offer.

Part of an end-of-financial-year (EOFY) program that sees drive-away pricing applied to all BYD Seal EVs (built in the 2023 model year), the MY23 BYD Seal Performance is available for $68,748 – with that figure including all on-road costs such as dealer delivery, stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance.

An extra $1000 will be applied to cars sold in Western Australia, but no matter where the Seal is purchased, it’s still a significant saving for buyers.

While still on EV deals, the Ford E-Transit has had even more value loaded into the large delivery van, having recently scored a $15,000 price reduction – and now with another $5000 taken from the bottom line.

What’s more, the 2024 Ford E-Transit 420L van that’s in the spotlight on carsales this week has also had on-road costs waived, turning it into a $84,990 drive-away transaction.

That’s remarkable when you consider the Ford E-Transit launched last year at $104,990 plus ORCs.

As we highlighted last week, Volkswagen Australia also has EOFY offers running across a wide variety of models spanning passenger cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles, including the VW Amarok ute and even R performance car lines with T-Roc, Tiguan and Golf.

In a fresh pitch towards family car buyers, the seven-seater MY23 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is available from $49,990 drive-away, with a $2000 factory bonus offer thrown in.

That marks a big saving when you consider the manufacturer’s recommended retail list price is $48,890 plus ORCs, which would normally take the on-road price well above $50K.

VW has a variety of other EOFY offers on Tiguan Allspace, including drive-away deals on MY24 models, so check them out while they’re still available.

Elsewhere, Volvo Car Australia has an EOFY campaign running across selected models, including ‘NO stamp duty, NO third party, NO registration’ for its MY23 mild-hybrid range covering XC40, XC60, XC90, S60 and V60 Cross Country.
