There’s a new Ford Ranger on the way, but the Blue Oval brand is still rushing the current generation out the door in a big push that could see it overtake the Toyota HiLux as the top-selling model in Australia.
If you’re in the market for a Ford Ranger 4x4 XLS dual-cab pick-up with 3.2-litre engine and auto transmission, Ford will let you drive one away from the dealership for $50,490.
That’s $2000 off the manufacturer’s retail list price, and free on-road costs – registration, stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance.
It looks like Nissan Australia planned for the long wait before the new Nissan Z arrives here by building up stock of the outgoing Nissan 370Z coupe.
The venerable 370Z is still a desirable sports car, and at $52,990 drive-away it’s currently available free of on-road costs, saving the buyer thousands right there.
As appealing as the 370Z is, however, it won’t fit a family of five. But the Kia Sportage SX petrol with automatic transmission will.
A new-generation Sportage is almost upon us, and Kia Australia is still running out the superseded model.
This particular variant sells for $34,590 plus on-road costs, but Kia dealers will let you have one with all the statutory charges paid for just $200 more.
Even in the twilight of its model life, like the 370Z, this remains a very good vehicle – and you also get Kia’s seven-year warranty at this affordable price.
So forget about the supply shortage or the rising price landscape, there are good cars still in stock right now, at a budget-friendly price.
But you’ll need to get your skates on.
