Deal hunter: Isuzu MU-X savings continue

Mercedes-Benz Vito bundles in on-road costs, and Kia Cerato Sport lands attractive deal

Thinking about upgrading to a new-generation 4x4 family SUV?

There is plenty of choice in what’s becoming an increasingly crowded segment, and one of the newest – and most popular offerings is the top shelf 2022 Isuzu MU-X LST 4x4 automatic guise.

Carrying a retail price of $67,400 plus on-road costs, the flagship Isuzu MU-X LST 4x4 automatic and the related Isuzu D-MAX ute stand as leading-value propositions within their respective range thanks to a very handy promotional pricing model.

In the case of the SUV, that near-$70K asking price is slashed to $65,990 drive-away, marking a direct saving of around $1600, not to mention the several thousand dollars’ worth of waived on-road costs.

The attractive pricing combines with a polished driving experience, off-road capability and class-leading safety tech.

While Isuzu’s drive-away pricing model is often available, the end-of-financial-year deals have continued to grow in number and this week it’s the turn of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Vito 111CDI LWB.

The stretched version of the most affordable mid-size van from Mercedes-Benz, the Vito 111CDI LWB typically retails for $46,550 plus on-road costs, but under this offer the German luxury brand is offering the manual load-lugger for $46,990 drive-away.

What Mercedes has done is essentially bundle all the on-road costs – which vary from state to state – into one handy little $440 premium, saving buyers at least a few grand in rego, stamp duty, third-party insurance and more.

Buyers looking for a new small car will be interested in Kia’s latest offer which this week revolves around the 2022 Kia Cerato Sport automatic.

The mid-range offering of the Korean brand’s successful small car line-up, the Cerato Sport can be ordered as either a hatch or sedan and carries a day-to-day retail price of $28,090 plus on-road costs.

At the moment, however, the Korean brand is offering its volume seller for $29,490 drive-away – just $1500 more than the list price.

In some states that’ll equate to a saving of more than $1500 by the time the car is on the road – a welcome bonus in the current climate, where the cost of living is rising and, perhaps more than ever, every dollar counts.
