Deal hunter: More handy savings on Kia Rio S auto

And MG has extended its complimentary gift-giving, while Hyundai Staria Load improves value for ABN holders

Kia Australia is determined to maintain or improve on its consistent fourth-place standings on the monthly VFACTS sales charts and apparently it plans to do so by not only promoting its growing SUV range but also the entry-level models on which it made its name.

Usually priced from $21,990 plus on-road costs, the 2022 Kia Rio S automatic is one of the Korean brand’s most affordable automatic offerings after the pint-size Picanto.

For the time being though, Kia is offering its base (automatic) compact runabout for $22,990 drive-away; saving potential customers at least $1000-$1500 in on-road costs.

It might sound a bit counter-intuitive to pay more in order to save, but a spare couple of grand left over in your back pocket can only be a good thing and there won’t be any surprises for first-time buyers on a budget.

SUV buyers meanwhile might be a little more intrigued by MG’s extended offer.

2021 MG ZST Vibe

The Chinese brand seems to be the gift-giver that keeps on giving at the moment, because it’s still offering a ‘complimentary MG gift’ with all of its MY21-plated vehicles including the 2021 MG ZST Vibe automatic.

Effectively an upgraded and more generously equipped version of the regular MG ZS small SUV, the Vibe is the second of four ZST variants and typically carries a retail price of $27,490 drive-away.

Meantime this week, some tidy savings can also be had on the 2022 Hyundai Staria Load – provided you have an ABN.

If so, then the new-age commercial van can be yours for $47,990 drive-away as opposed to the usual $45,790 plus ORCs, saving at least several grand in on-road costs.

Officially deemed the safest mid-size van on the market, the Staria Load is available with the choice of a traditional liftback rear door or dual barn doors and in both two- and five-seat configurations.

For reference, this offer applies to the two-seater only.
