Deal hunter: Nissan 370Z 50th anniversary auto discounted on the road for less than a manual

Plus discounted drive-away pricing for Ford Ranger Sport and Isuzu MU-X

The first glimpse of the new Nissan 400Z and this year’s market slump due to the covid-19 pandemic and lockdown have slowed sales of the Nissan 370Z 50th anniversary coupe.

Nissan has previously offered the manual variants at a discounted price to clear stock, and now it’s the turn of the automatic model. This car, which promises to be collectible in years to come, is normally priced at $55,990 before the on-road costs, but Nissan is letting it go for $52,490 on the road. So a buyer will save $3500 off the purchase price of these 2019-plated cars, as well as the compulsory third-party insurance, registration and stamp duty.

That’s a real bargain – unfortunate for the importer, but great for buyers. Don’t wait around though...

Ford has an offer that will have ABN holders flocking in droves to blue oval dealers. The Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 dual-cab pick-up with 3.2-litre engine and automatic transmission is usually priced at $55,740, but commercial buyers with an ABN will be able to purchase one for $49,490 on the road. That’s a saving of over $6000, not including the statutory charges saved. Ford is also offering these buyers a special deal on finance, provided the buyer is financing at least $20,000. Other conditions apply too. And if you’re not an ABN holder, Ford will still sell you this variant of Ranger for $50,990 on the road, which is a very enticing offer – nearly $5000 off the price and no stamp duty, registration or compulsory third party to pay.

Adventurous families in the market for a serious off-road seven seat – but at an affordable price – need look no further. The Isuzu MU-X LS-M 4x4with automatic transmission is currently available for $46,990 drive-away. And the importer is throwing in a towing pack for no extra charge. This vehicle usually retails for $51,200, not including the on-road costs, so this is an offer that will save the buyer many thousands.

But as the old saying goes, this offer can’t last forever.
