Deal hunter: Nissan Navara with free tow bar, discounted price

And pay just $100 more for Kia Rio on the road, plus Volkswagen T-Cross at drive-away price below $30K

The 4x4 dual-cab ute and cab-chassis market is a hotly-contested battleground in Australia, and Nissan is right in the thick of it, swinging away for a larger share of the spoils.

In its latest initiative, the Japanese car-maker has announced that the 2021 Nissan Navara ST-X 4x4 dual-cab ute with automatic transmission is selling for just $57,290, on the road, with a free tow bar thrown in to sweeten the pot further.

Normally, this variant of Nissan Navara sells for $58,270 plus on-road costs – so Navara buyers save themselves the stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance, plus the cost of a tow bar and the $980 Nissan has knocked off the manufacturer’s retail list price.

Kia is another brand that’s challenging the established order in its campaign to snatch a larger share of the market.

And in the light car segment, the 2021 Kia Rio S with automatic transmission is currently selling for $21,490, drive-away.

That’s just $100 more than the manufacturer’s retail list price – leaving the buyer to pay just $100 for the standard statutory charges to get the Rio on the road.

Volkswagen is clearing 2020 stock of its MY21 Volkswagen T-Cross with a drive-away price that’s just under $30,000.

In addition, there’s a finance offer available for the Volkswagen T-Cross 85 TSI Life with seven-speed dual-clutch (DSG) transmission.

The manufacturer’s retail list price for this car is $28,390 – before calculating stamp duty and applying the charges for registration and compulsory third-party insurance.

This is a rare opportunity to lay hands on a popular light SUV without paying over the odds in a seller’s market.
