Fancy yourself a new dual-cab 4x4 ute but don’t know where to start? Mitsubishi is offering its mid-range 2022 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R 4x4 automatic for $49,490 drive-away at the moment, potentially saving consumers thousands in on-road costs.
That tempting drive-away offer is admittedly only for ABN holders, but private buyers can also get a slice of the no-more-to-pay action for an extra $500.
Either way, the on-road costs are essentially being halved as part of this offer and it’s not as if it’s a tradie-spec special; the GLX-R comes with black 18-inch alloy wheels, climate control, Bluetooth, smartphone mirroring, DAB digital radio, premium cloth upholstery, the SuperSelect II 4x4 system and a locking rear differential.

There’s no denying the immense appeal and popularity of dual-cab utes in the modern market place, but inner-city dwellers and less off-road-inclined buyers won’t necessarily have a use for one.
Instead, an increasing number of new-car buyers are opting for electric vehicles and one of the most affordable of them all is the freshly upgraded 2022 MG ZS EV.
MG Motor Australia is currently offering the more lavish 2022 MG ZS EV Essence automatic with a ‘complimentary gift’ along with an almost market-leading price tag of $48,990 drive-away.

MG is in the preliminary stages of an all-out budget-EV war with another new Chinese brand, BYD, while a third will arrive in early 2023 in the form of GWM-Ora, which also has big plans for its own battery-electric assault on our market. So don’t be too surprised if MG’s complimentary gifts continue to be offered for a while yet.
The ZS EV is of course a compact SUV – another vehicletype that Aussie consumers can’t seem to get enough of.
This high-riding obsession is resulting in the demise of the traditional small passenger car, which is waning in numbers both on the sales charts and the market place as more and more manufacturers drop their small hatches and sedans.
One such vehicle headed for retirement is the venerable Suzuki Baleno.
Suzuki Australia is offering the base 2022 Suzuki Baleno GL automatic for $20,990 drive-away at the moment – just $1500 more than the usual recommended retail price.

Like Mitsubishi’s Triton offer, this deal will save customers around the country – besides Queensland and northern NSW – thousands of dollars in on-road costs, which on a car retailing for circa-$20,000 equates to a discount of at least 10 per cent by the time it’s on the road.
