MINI Australia isn’t far away from releasing its new-generation 2024 MINI E and SE electric hatchbacks and the good news for Aussies is that, in the meantime, it continues to discount the remaining stocks of its existing 2023 MINI Hatch Cooper SE Resolute.
In October, Deal Hunter presented a discount of more than $4000 for the pint-size electric hatch (at $60,990 drive-away) and just last week that saving increased to over $5000 with a discounted price of $59,990 drive-away.
Now, the same 2023 MINI Hatch Cooper SE Resolute can be had for just $49,990 drive-away, marking a saving of $15,335 over the usual list price of $65,325 plus on-road costs – and that’s before you include further savings from the waived statutory costs and the various EV subsidies on offer in most states.
Sure, the electric MINI still has a relatively short 233km WLTP driving range, but at under $50K on the road it no longer comes with a much higher price than its direct rivals – and still offers a peppy 137kW/270Nm electric motor drawing current from a 32.6kWh battery pack in a unique design.
If you’re after a similarly-sized vehicle in an SUV shape – and one that will also become unavailable with petrol power – the MY23.75 Ford Puma ST-Line auto is currently available for $35,250 drive-away.
When you factor in the on-road statutory costs applicable in each state or territory, that marks a small but handy saving over the usual list price of $33,190 plus ORCs, and gets you a very tidy European-designed light SUV that will soon be available only in EV form.
This week’s final special offer comes from people-mover land, where the LDV MIFA Mode auto is now being offered to private buyers for $49,990 drive-away – $4000 less than its regular drive-away price of $53,990.
In the current automotive landscape, that’s a big saving for a seven-seat people-mover with a seven-year/200,000km warranty, a five-star safety rating and a perky 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine matched to an eight-speed auto.
