The entry-level model in the E-Class range, the Mercedes-Benz E 200 is currently offered to buyers at the jaw-dropping price of $91,700. That’s a drive-away price, so it includes all on-road costs, and additionally represents a discount of $4200 from the manufacturer’s recommended list price of $95,900.
As if that’s not enough already, Mercedes-Benz is also supplying the cars with the usually optional Sport Edition pack, worth $9490. This pack includes 20-inch AMG alloy wheels, a sunroof, cross-drilled front brake discs, a Burmester 13-speaker audio system, heated front seats, head-up display, wireless smartphone charging and privacy glass, among other features.
Another tempting offer comes from Isuzu Ute. During June the Isuzu MU-X LS-M 4X4 with automatic is going for just $46,990, including on-road costs. This variant, the most affordable four-wheel drive in the SUV range, is usually priced at $51,200, not including the on-roads. So there’s a discount worth $4210 without even factoring in the registration and compulsory third-party insurance.
Finally, the Mitsubishi Triton GLS Premium 4x4 dual-cab, is rolling out the showroom door for just $50,290, drive-away. Normally this variant of Triton – powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder matched to an automatic transmission as standard – sells for $52,790, the manufacturer’s recommended list price. So the price has had $1500 lopped off it and the on-road costs are paid by the importer too, but better yet – this variant of Triton comes with premium paint and a seven-year warranty thrown in for nix.
