Families and businesses alike are struggling in the current economic climate, but Toyota has a deal that could very likely suit both.
Australia’s biggest automotive brand has dropped the price and absorbed the on-road costs of its Toyota HiLux SR5 4x4 dual-cab with turbo-diesel and automatic powertrain.
Normally, buyers could expect to pay $57,240 and the registration and compulsory third-party insurance on top of that, but Toyota has dropped the price to just $54,990 drive-away for the high-grade off-road ute.
That’s a saving of $2250 before even considering the on-road costs saved.
Hyundai is also paring back prices and absorbing the on-road costs. For the Hyundai Tucson Active X with diesel and automatic, the company has dropped its price from $40,440, not including on-roads, to $39,340 drive-away. And a further sweetener is the $250 cash back thrown in.
Hyundai is also clearing stock of the Elantra sedan, ahead of the arrival of the new i30 sedan that replaces it. So the price of the Hyundai Elantra Go with automatic transmission has been reduced from $24,040 before on-road costs to $23,240 drive-away.
In addition, every car sold will be covered by a seven-year warranty. That’s long enough to wait out the current economic crisis... and the next one as well.
