Deal hunter: Volkswagen Crafter loads up the savings

VW sharpens its pencil on the mid-spec Crafter van as Suzuki Vitara and Kia Rio upsize on value

Anyone chasing a large commercial van at the moment should probably consider dusting off the cheque book because there are some huge savings to be had on the 2022 Volkswagen Crafter 50 Van TDI410 MWB diesel auto.

Usually priced from $67,290 plus on-road costs, Volkswagen Australia has lopped $1300 off the asking price for ABN holders and, perhaps more importantly, is covering the on-roads as well.

For the record, the final figure is $65,990 with no more to pay (before options).

So just over four months out from the end of the financial year, business buyers can nab themselves a brand-new MY22-plated van and put it on the road for $1300 below list price, all in all saving several thousand dollars.

The final figure will depend on the state or territory in which the vehicle is purchased.

Not everyone is after a large van, however, but that doesn’t mean people don’t need a bit of vibrance and style in their lives from time-to-time.

If you fancy catching some eyes on the road then you may be interested in a fresh deal from Suzuki on the two-wheel-drive 2021 Suzuki Vitara Turbo automatic, which can be purchased in a range of bold colours.

2021 Suzuki Vitara Turbo Auto 2WD MY22

Sitting one rung down from the top of the Vitara line-up, Suzuki is offering its front-drive turbocharged SUV from $34,490 drive-away – just $1000 above its $33,490 list price (before on-road costs).

With a tidy bundle of bank notes left in your back pocket from the largely waved on-roads, this deal offers those with a preference of colour the chance to make a statement on the road and, for what it’s worth, flaunt that red ‘turbo’ badge for all to see.

This offer isn’t available northern New South Wales or Queensland, however, where the Suzuki product line is handled by a different distributor.

If the Vitara doesn’t quite meet your criteria, Kia has a similar offer revolving around its entry-level 2022 Kia Rio S automatic.

Again, for an extra $1000 more than list price ($21,990), Kia will waive the on-road costs and you can drive away in a brand-new Rio automatic from $22,990 with no more to pay.
