Deal Hunter: Volkswagen EOFY deals deliver lower prices

EOFY programs also in place from Mazda and Ford; and $5000 cashback for Volvo XC60 and XC90

Volkswagen has jumped right into the spirit of EOFY giving, offering its product range at reduced drive-away prices and with finance over a four-year term at an interest rate of 3.99 per cent (Polo, Touareg).

But that’s just the start.

Volkswagen

The following vehicles are available at just 2.99 per cent with zero per cent deposit:
Volkswagen T-Cross
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 132TSI Comfortline, 162TSI Highline, 140TDI Highline
Volkswagen T-Roc 110TSI Style, 140TSI Sport

And in other deals, buyers can take advantage of Volkswagen models selling at lower prices:
Tiguan 110TSI Life DSG – $41,490 drive-away
Tiguan Allspace 110TSI Comfortline DSG – $42,990 drive-away

Select Volkswagen Amarok models are selling with financing at an interest rate of 1.99 per cent.

Some variants are offered with the on-road costs partly or fully paid, and the Amarok Core Enduro can be picked up by ABN holders for $43,990 on the road.

Also for ABN holders, two variants of the Volkswagen Crafter van have been reduced in price and on-road charges have been absorbed.

Volkswagen T-Roc

For people-mover buyers, the Volkswagen Multivan TDI340 Comfortline Premium variant is going for $64,990 drive-away, the stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance costs all paid.

And for something a little larger, the Volkswagen Crafter 12-seat Minibus is on the road for $69,990 – its manufacturer’s retail list price (MRLP) – and the 4MOTION (AWD) version is also free of on-road costs at $75,490.

For the full 15-seat capacity, the LWB Crafter TDI410 is once again free of the on-road charges, at $78,490.

Mazda

Jumping on the bandwagon, Mazda has officially launched its ‘Mazda Moment’ EOFY sale.

During this campaign, the company is focused on drive-away pricing for Mazda2, CX-3, CX-5, CX-8 and CX-9.

ABN holders intending to purchase the Mazda BT-50 ute are looked after as well. Superseded models and older stock will be run out with bonuses.

Mazda CX-8

Ford

Ford has committed to its own EOFY sales program, and has declared in a statement to carsales: “We plan to continue offering highly competitive retail offers all the way through the traditional EOFY period, ensuring our customers get the best deal possible.”

There are deals going for the Ford Focus, Escape, Puma, Ranger and Everest, with something in the top-selling Ford Ranger ute portfolio to suit ABN holders.

The statutory charges – registration, stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance – are partly paid by Ford for the Focus Active and ST-Line variants ($32,690 drive-away, normally $30,990 before the on-road costs).

Ford is also keeping a cap on drive-away prices for the Puma, and throwing in a finance deal as well. The base Puma goes for $31,990 on the road, the Puma ST-Line is priced at $33,990 drive-away and the flagship Puma ST-Line V is selling for $36,990 drive-away.

It’s much the same for the larger Ford Escape, which costs just $1500 to put on the road for the base model ($37,490 drive-away), and $2000 more for the Escape ST-Line front-wheel drive ($39,990 drive-away) and all-wheel drive ($42,990).

Ford Ranger XLS

There are great savings to be had with the Ford Everest large SUV, starting with the rear-wheel drive Everest Trend, which normally retails for $57,090 but can be purchased for a drive-away price of $56,690.

Similarly, the bi-turbo Ford Everest Sport with rear-wheel drive normally sells for $60,090, but is currently asking a drive-away price of $59,690. Another bi-turbo variant, the Everest Titanium is usually priced at $73,190 before the on-road costs, but during EOFY is selling at a drive-away price of $72,690.

The Ford Ranger model line also throws up some real bargains, with these representative deals in the mix:
XLS dual-cab pick-up 4x4 3.2-litre auto – $49,490 drive-away ($3000 off MRLP)
XLT dual-cab pick-up 4x4 3.2-litre auto – $57,990 drive-away ($1450 off MRLP)
XLT dual-cab cab-chassis 4x4 3.2-litre auto – $58,490 drive-away ($50 over MRLP)

Volvo

Volvo XC90

Volvo is clearing stock of its luxurious SUV models for its EOFY sale. And the MY21 Volvo XC60 and XC90 will be sold with the promise of a $5000 remittance to the buyer.

There’s one catch – or two, actually – the cars must be purchased and delivered before June 29, and the stock may run out before then.

So buyers who have been contemplating the purchase of either a new Volvo XC90 or the highly commended finisher in the 2018 carsales Car of the Year, the Volvo XC60, would be well advised to race to their nearest Volvo dealership post-haste and close a deal.
