Dealers win Carsales Awards

Seven of the best car dealerships in the country have been recognised by carsales.com.au in the first annual Carsales Dealer of the Year Awards. One dealership from each state (and a joint winner between ACT and NT) has been chosen after an exhaustive search by Australia's leading auto classified website.

The winners were selected based on the results of a customer survey sent out by carsales.com.au. By running the award carsales.com.au aims to reward dealerships that produce the best results for customers.

"These awards are very well-deserved," says Craig Hynes, carsales.com.au National Sales and Dealer Services Manager. "Not surprisingly, the winners in each state are very proud of their dealership and staff, and their awards are proof of their hard work and determination to get great results."

Carsales.com.au sent out over 2.5 million surveys to customers who sent an enquiry to dealerships via the website during 2008. The judging criteria was designed to make sure that customer feedback was the most important element in determining the winners. The collated results determined the best percentage of sales versus enquiries to decide on the winners.

"We asked these customers if they would agree to complete a survey that included questions such as whether they had bought a vehicle, the reasons for their choice of purchase and their experience with the dealership," Hynes said.

Each winner receives a prize pack that includes a customised plaque, an advertising product package and a trip to the 'Top Gear Live' show at Acer Arena. The package is valued at $15,000.
