Tata Motors, the Indian automotive manufacturer known to most Aussies for the Tata Xenon ute, has revealed two new concept cars at the 2014 Delhi auto expo. The first concept is called the Nexon, a compact SUV designed to navigate the narrow, bustlingly roads of India. Although Tata didn’t go into specifics, the two-tone paint scheme, bulging fenders and aggressive front grille give the Nexon a very athletic stance, especially for an SUV this small.
Tata also took the wraps off the ConnectNext, a very futuristic looking concept car. Featuring suicide doors, reminiscent of the ones found on the Mazda RX-8, and what appears to be floating seats, the ConnectNext is a bold statement and glimpse into the future of Tata Motors. While both vehicles are in their concept stages, we suspect the Nexon (pictured) is very close to production, whereas the ConnectNext is still a few years out.
