The Deni Ute Muster celebrates its 15th anniversary with the publication of a new, aptly named book “Ute-opia – 15 Deni Ute Muster Years”.
An inclusive celebration of 'working' vehicles, the Ute Muster has become closely associated with the southern NSW town of Deniliquin, which has hosted the festival from its inception. Since that time the Ute Muster has grown in scale and has imprinted itself on the cultural psyche by paying homage to an Aussie motoring icon.
'Ute-topia', which is 156 pages in length and has been produced in full colour, has been written by Gary Baker, who has carefully documented every meet since its inception in 1999.
“This book is for everyone who has had an involvement in the Ute Muster as a patron, volunteer, participant or performer,” noted Mr Baker.
The 2013 muster will take place on the 4th to the 5th of October. Ticket prices are $180 for adults, $95 for juniors and kids under 13 are free. Entry includes camping access to relevant facilities. The book can be purchased separately for $29.
