Audi has announced the release of a very limited run production model for Australia, the A6 White Edition.
Reflecting the displacement of silver by white in popularity, the A6 is finished in the latter colour -- in a tone named 'Ibis White' -- and complemented by Milano Black leather upholstery.
Buyers can opt for either the 2.8-litre FSI V6 or the 3.0-litre TDI V6. The petrol engine drives to the front wheels through Audi's Multitronic CVT and the diesel is coupled to a sequential-shift six-speed automatic, driving to all four wheels through a quattro drivetrain.
Priced at $105,655 for the petrol model or $118,505 for the diesel, the A6 White Edition features the following extras: Audi Technik Package, sports suspension, electric glass sunroof, privacy glass (tinted, darkened glass), 19-inch double spoke alloy wheels and the Audi Exclusive Black Package.
The Audi Technik Package comprises Advanced Key, Audi Music Interface, Navigation system, Audi parking system 'Advance' with rear view camera and Bluetooth mobile phone preparation.
A cosmetic package, Audi Exclusive Black Package consists of a highly polished black finish for the radiator grille shell, matt black radiator slats with licence plate surround also in matt black, highly polished black trim strips below the headlights and exterior window trimming in black.
"This special edition A6 highlights Audi's strong focus on design, and the sophistication of the brand," says Immo Buschmann, General Manager of Marketing for Audi Australia.
"The A6 model range offers very sporty variants like our special 'Le Mans' edition range and the soon-to-be-released RS 6, and now, with the introduction of the White Edition, we are also demonstrating the superb quality and design of this model," Mr Buschmann said.
Audi dealers will commence deliveries of the A6 White Edition later this month.
