Do celebrities secretly hate Lamborghinis? The facts say yes

As far as celebrities and fancy, enviable cars go, Lamborghini takes the cake. With a great mixture of design and performance this Italian car brand is revered for a reason!

So when we came across some custom designed and modified Lambos by some Hollywood celebs, we couldn’t help but wonder what they were thinking messing with these very expensive cars. You never see anyone modify a Ferrari or Aston Martin the same way, maybe celebs secretly hate Lamborghinis? It is the only explanation really...here are some of the worst offenders.

Kanye West’s Lamborghini Urus

I’ll admit, I’m a huge Kanye fan, but when it comes to his custom Urus SUV all I can say is in his own words, “Wake up Mr. West”. I’m used to Yeezy disappointing me but what he has done to this Urus is unexplainable. The exterior that is obviously way too beige looks like a pimped up German taxi and those over sized rims (apparently designed by Kanye himself) do absolutely nothing for the styling of the car. In typical Kanye fashion, he matched that boring beige exterior to a vibrant electric blue interior. Makes sense? No? Good, we’re on the same page then. “Imma let you finish, but this is possibly the worst Urus of all time.” Mic drop.

Kylie Jenner’s Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster

The youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan and the youngest person on the Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, added a bright orange Lamborghini Aventador to her insane car collection. Never one to shy away from the limelight (or orange-light) this make-up mogul certainly took things to a new level, and no this isn’t homage to any new tangerine lip-kit colour. I guess it’s not always great to keep up with the Kardashian/Jenner’s, as she’s not the only one in her crew on this list.

Chris Brown’s Lamborghini Gallardo (or is it an Aventador?)

Who didn’t play with Hot Wheels cars when they were a kid? Singer Chris Brown obviously did, as he customised his Lamborghini Gallardo to look like a Hot Wheels toy. I will admit that the paint job isn’t overly terrible… but the front of this Gallardo which takes inspiration from an Aventador is just confusing, I guess you would say I’m not “with you” on that one Chris. If you wanted an Aventador why wouldn’t you just get one? I doubt money is a problem, maybe it’s something money can’t buy like common sense. Yeah 3x.

Nicki Minaj’s Lamborghini Aventador

I’ve heard of “all-black everything” but have you ever heard of “all-pink everything”? Pop star Nicki Minaj has turned some heads with her outrageous all pink Lamborghini Aventador. For those who have followed Nicki’s music career will know she’s aligned her brand with hot pink, even naming her first album “Pink Friday”. But this has gone too far. I’ve been sitting here looking at those all pink wheels for far too long and cannot and will not understand why someone would do that to a $400,000 car.

Stormi and Travis Scott’s Mini Lamborghini Aventador

The daughter of rapper Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner was never going to grow up like most one year olds. But to be gifted a custom Lamborghini for her first birthday? If that doesn’t scream extra, I don’t know what does. Okay, this may not actually be a real car like Kylie’s bright orange Aventador, this tiny custom Lamborghini has a rainbow coloured glow in the dark paint job that only a child could love. Clouds and lightening stickers have been placed on the car as Stormi’s moniker (we get it her name is Storm-i), while the front door has a “StormiWorld” label which is a reference to her father’s recent album “AstroWorld”.

Daria Radionova's Lamborghini Aventador SV

She may not be a household name in Australia, but Daria Radionova really takes the cake when it comes to Lambo modification. London based Radionova is an Instagram model (very 2019) and has a high-end fashion label. She really puts down the gauntlet to the Kardashian/Jenner clan with her shoe, bags and car collections. She is currently up to her second Lamborghini which has been given the Swarovski crystal treatment.

This Aventador SV is said to be the world’s first car to be covered in 2 million crystals. Why you'd want to cover your car in crystals, is beyond us but, wow does it sparkle or what? Daria's last Lambo Huracan was only covered in 1.3 million crystals so this latest effort was well worth it.

There’s a lot you can say about each of the celebrities on this list, the one thing we can all agree on is that someone should have stopped them in the design process. Would I design an outlandish and expensive Lamborghini if I were in their shoes? Probably yes. But that’s something I’ll never have to worry about any time soon.
