Drive Against Depression is expanding into New South Wales and will host its first Sydney event on June 4, when 25 vehicle places will be available for the inaugural run from Berowra to the Hunter Valley.
The point of the event is to foster a sense of community among car lovers and promote good old-fashioned conversion, especially meaningful dialogue that can give those fighting silent battles a chance to be vocal.
“Since the severe COVID restrictions have eased, Drive Against Depression has been able to return to its community in the way it matters most: with face-to-face dialogue and events that combine the freedom of driving with guidance on supporting mental wellness,” Drive Against Depression co-founder Sarah Davis said.

“We can’t wait to expand our mental health message, and hope to encourage further state-based events that support our cause on a national level.”
The drive portion of the event is in no way timed, competitive or carried out on any closed roads in an effort to underscore the simple pleasure of driving a car on scenic or engaging roads and sharing that pleasure with mates, family and fellow motoring enthusiasts.
The driver briefing will start at 10:00am at the Berowra train station and registrations can be made via the Drive Against Depression website.
