Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its all-new electric C-Class, promising to redefine the mid-size luxury segment with the new “coupe-like” sedan that’s good for up to 762km of electric driving range and brings advanced AI-driven tech along with supreme levels of comfort.

Underpinned by 800-volt architecture, the new C-Class is headlined by a claimed driving range of up to 762 kilometres (WLTP) thanks to a 94kWh battery which can accept rapid DC fast-charging of up to 330kW and add up to 325km of rangt in just 10 minutes (under ideal conditions).
In terms of firepower, the flagship C400 4MATIC will deliver 360kW and to sprint from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.0 seconds.
More variants will be added next year featuring various battery options, the largest of which will see driving range increase to as much as 800km (WLTP).

Rear-axle steering (up to 4.5 degrees) also features, along with optional AIRMATIC air suspension Merc claims to be as smooth as in the flagship S-Class.
Inside, the electric C-Class is dominated by a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen powered by the brand’s new Operating System (MB.OS), which integrates AI for more complex conversations between the vehicle and its passengers.
An augmented reality head-up display continues the tech assault along with massaging and ventilated seats while a panoramic roof with 162 illuminated ‘stars’ and a Burmester 4D sound system add some opulence.

Under the bonnet is a 101-litre frunk, or front trunk, complemented by a 470-litre boot.
The C-Class can tow up to 1800kg, in case you were wondering.
Aerodynamics play a key role in EV range and Benz says its new EV has a drag coefficient as low as 0.22 to help maximise range, while a heat pump system is designed to improve climate efficiency.
Safety and driver aids come courtesy of Merc’s extensive MB.DRIVE suite, with up to 27 sensors and cameras, while advanced AI-enhanced navigation and clever micro-LED headlight technology also features.

The electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class is set to launch in the US this year, followed by other markets. A firm date for its arrival in Oz is yet to be locked in, however it’s expected to arrive later this year.
Benz says the new model will play a key role in redefining expectations for electric vehicles in the segment, combining long-range capability with luxury and advanced digital integration.
