In the last decade, Icona Pop has created an electric atmosphere on dance floors and arenas right around the world. Now the duo will also set the tone for electric driving pleasure in the new BMW iX3, through their specially developed playlist 'Born Electric'.
The playlist contains old and new songs which are said to be characterised by joy and have some real dirty electro beats too. Selected by Icona Pop for BMW Sweden, the playlist aims to create an electric journey that is exciting and inspiring. Now for the BMW iX3 connection, the playlist is 5 hours and 20 minutes long, which equates to the entire battery range of 459 kilometres the iX3 is said to achieve.
“Together with BMW, we want to create the world's best electric road trip. That's why we've put together a tailor-made playlist - inspired by electricity and progressiveness. We want the listener to feel the happiness of freedom and that the future is now here - and it is electric” say Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt from Icona Pop.
Artists included on the hand selected playlist by Icona Pop's Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt include Australia's own Hayden James and Pnau.
The playlist, as well as a social media short film, has been released to coincide with the local Swedish launch of BMW’s electric iX3, the brand’s first fully electric SUV. The vehicle may not be due to hit our shores until the fourth quarter of 2021, but you can stream the Born Electric playlist now on Spotify.
