2024 Nissan Pathfinder returns to sub-$60K starting price

Two ST-Ls and another Ti variant join Nissan Australia’s Pathfinder large SUV range

The 2024 Nissan Pathfinder large seven-seat SUV range has been expanded back out from two variants to five with the reintroduction of the ST-L grade and a front-drive version of the penultimate Ti variant.

Pricing for the entry-level ST-L 2WD has been set at $59,670 plus on-road costs, while the all-wheel drive version costs $64,170 plus ORCs – $4180 higher than when it was first offered here in 2022.

The reintroduction of the two ST-L variants means the big three-row SUV’s starting price has dipped back below $60,000 for the first time in almost 18 months.

The returning Ti 2WD variant, meantime, is priced at $67,990 plus ORCs – $4000 more than when it was launched, positioning it $4500 downstream of the Ti 4WD ($72,490 plus ORCs).

The latter is itself the subject of a $1000 model year price increase, and the same is true of the flagship Ti-L 4WD (now $82,490 plus ORCs).

No changes have been made to equipment levels for the returning Pathfinder nameplates in an attempt to justify with their mild price increases, nor have there been any changes to the 3.5-litre petrol V6 (202kW/340Nm) powering every variant.

Headline equipment for the ST-L grade includes 18-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone climate control, a 9.0-inch infotainment system, 10.8-inch head-up display, 7.0-inch driver’s information display, heated front seats, smartphone mirroring, powered tailgate and driver’s seat, six-speaker sound system and a 360-degree camera.

‘4WD’ versions add all-wheel drive, hill-descent control and seven drive modes across the board.

Building on the ST-L, the Ti adds an auto-dimming rear mirror, heated outboard second-row seats, leather-accented trim, rear window sunshades, wireless smartphone charging, a 13-speaker Bose audio system and an extra USB port for the third row.

At the top of the range, the Ti-L flagship goes big on opulence with second-row captain’s chairs, metal front kick plates, premium dash trim, reverse-tilt door mirrors with memory function and intelligent rear-view mirror.

There are also rain-sensing wipers, a power-adjustable steering wheel with memory function, driver’s seat memory function, ventilated front seats with power-adjustment for the passenger, quilted leather upholstery, ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, sliding glass roof, chrome side mouldings and 20-inch alloy wheels.

All Pathfinders come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission, sending power to either the front or both axles. The petrol V6 is the only powerplant offered globally in the Pathfinder, though an electric-drive e-POWER hybrid version has been hinted at previously.
