Estate of the Nation

Mercedes-Benz E 250 CDI Estate joins BlueEFFICIENCY range

Mercedes-Benz's new E-Class range has been expanded to include a new BlueEFFICIENCY model, the seven seat E 250 CDI Estate bringing space, pace and exceptional fuel economy to the class leading line-up.

Delivering 150kW of power and an impressive 500Nm of torque, the E 250 CDI Estate is also capable of returning a combined cycle fuel consumption figure of just 6.3L/100km, with a highway cycle figure a hybrid-esque 5.0L/100km.

"We put the carriage of the most precious cargo of all (families) as an absolute priority. Our NCAP five star rated range of Mercedes-Benz Estates put every family first," said Mercedes-Benz cars managing direction, Mr Horst von Sanden.

"Our offering of the largest and most comprehensive Estate range in the industry with a choice between the five seat C-Class, the five or seven Seat R-Class and the six, seven or eight seat Viano and now the seven seat E 250 CDI demonstrates our commitment to the Estate buyer.

"I am such a huge fan of the E-Class Estate that I chose to drive one as my everyday vehicle. The seven seat versatility, safety, comfort, impressive performance and design tick all the boxes for me. The E 250 CDI I believe has very strong appeal to our customers with its impressive environmental credentials. I believe it is truly the Estate of the Nation."

In addition to the E-Class' comprehensive feature list, the Mercedes-Benz E 250 CDI Estate also includes adaptive damping and self-levelling rear suspension, automatic (electric) rear tailgate with individually programmable opening angle, EASY-PACK rear seat with folding facility and three-point inertia reel seatbelts, a load compartment cover with retaining net, bi-xenon headlamps with Intelligent Light System and Adaptive High-beam Assist, leather trim, PARKTRONIC parking assistance, rear door sunblinds and iPod integration.

The Mercedes-Benz E 250 CDI Estate Avantgarde is priced from $105,500.
