Everything Electric Sydney returns in September

Everything Electric Sydney will return to Sydney Showground from September 18-20, bringing more than 100 electric vehicle models, a large-scale test drive program and home energy technology together under one roof.

Organisers expect more than 40,000 visitors across the three-day event, which is supported by headline sponsor carsales, which will host an EV Consumer Hub helping visitors navigate the growing electric vehicle market.

The Sydney event follows Everything Electric shows held in Sydney and Melbourne during 2025, which attracted more than 50,000 visitors combined.

This years 2026 Sydney instalment is shaping up to be the series’ biggest event yet amid growing EV uptake and consumer interest in reducing transport and household energy costs.

Several new-model launches are expected, with BYD, Cadillac, Chery, Farizon, Forthing, Genesis, Geely, GAC, GWM, Hyundai, Icaur, IM, Lepas, MG, Omoda Jaecoo, Polestar, Subaru, Weichai and Zeekr among the exhibitors named by organisers.

The test drive program will give visitors access to more than 100 electric vehicles in one location, with over 7500 drives forecast across the weekend.

Licensed riders will also be able to sample electric motorcycles and scooters, while e-bikes, scooters and skateboards will feature on a dedicated micro-mobility test track.

As headline sponsor of Everything Electric Sydney, carsales will also be on the ground throughout the event with its EV Consumer Hub, helping visitors compare models, understand ownership costs and navigate the rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.

With consumer interest in EVs continuing to grow, the partnership reflects carsales' commitment to helping Australians make informed vehicle-buying decisions while connecting with the latest developments in electrification and home energy technology.

The home energy area will feature Ausgrid, Origin Energy, Amber Electric and Schneider Electric, alongside businesses showcasing solar systems, battery storage, smart meters, EV charging and insulation. Free one-on-one consultations will also be offered to visitors seeking practical advice about household energy use and costs.

More than 40 sessions across two theatres will tackle subjects including first-time EV purchases, vehicle-to-grid technology, range anxiety, urban charging, home batteries and energy storage for renters and apartment residents.

Everything Electric Sydney will run from 10am to 5pm on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, before closing at 4pm on Sunday, September 20.

The event will be held at Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park.

The show is expected to provide a look at upcoming EVs while giving consumers an opportunity to compare current models and learn how electric cars, solar generation, batteries and household energy systems can work together.
