Former Jaguar design boss Ian Callum has announced he has launched a new design and engineering firm that will specialise in creating bespoke products.
The high-profile designer, most well-known for designing cars like the F-TYPE and I-PACE, says he has recruited a team of 18 audio, art, fashion, motorsport and lifestyle experts hinting at the diverse range of products his new company hope to make.
Working alongside Callum in the new venture will be David Fairbairn – one of the architects behind the Lightweight Jaguar E-type recreations.
Other high-profile automotive employees headhunted by the former Jag exec include ex-Aston Martin and Noble engineer, Adam Domfrancesco and Tom Bird who is claimed to have convinced the producers of the James Bond film Spectre to include the Jaguar C-X75 in its movie.
Callum says his company will release details of its first project in a few weeks' time.
Speaking about the new venture, Ian Callum remarked: "To design the alternative has always been my mantra, but always the beautiful alternative and something to enjoy,” added Callum.
“In today’s modern world, collaboration is the catalyst for new ideas, and this is our ethos and inspiration, both within our team and as we look to work with partners in the future."
