GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: F1 legend teams up with Pininfarina to create supercar

Fittipaldi's supercar teased with single image of extreme aero, set to be revealed at Geneva motor show

Emerson Fittipaldi, the former Formula 1 world champion and two-time winner of the Indy 500, has partnered with Pininfarina to create an all-new supercar concept for the Geneva motor show.

Releasing a single picture of the Fittipaldi Motors EF7 Vision Gran Turismo, the collaboration will result in a supercar with an advanced aero package derived from racing and is said to be the "first in a series of cars".

It's not known yet if the EF7 will inspire a production vehicle, although its link with the Sony PlayStation Gran Turismo franchise implies gamers will soon be able to drive it virtually.

Hinting that the EF7 will be, at the very least, a drivable prototype is the involvement of German race car constructor HWA that builds Mercedes-AMG's DTM race cars.

More images are expected to be teased ahead of the EF7's official reveal at the Geneva motor show in March.
