F1: Tell us what it is

No prizes for guessing the make or model, other than the bragging rights

In the lead-up to the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park, motoring.com.au and a mystery car company have joined forces to puzzle and intrigue readers.

Here's how it works: The picture published here shows a technician fitting a carbonfibre wing to a special vehicle being flown here for promotional activities at the Grand Prix.

Your task is to try and guess the make and model of the vehicle, based on this picture and two more to be published tomorrow and Thursday. The car company concerned describes the vehicle as a race-inspired production car for the road. And that's as much information as you'll get. On Friday, March 2, a fourth image will reveal the vehicle in full and we'll publish the car's specifications as well.

Leave your best guesses in the comments below. As we say, no prizes, but hearty congratulations will go to the first person to guess correctly.
