Black, powerful, uncompromising... this customised F350 SuperDuty says it all.
Sold in Australia as a right-hand drive conversion by Harrison F-Trucks, the F350 in question is an example of the work done here to provide customers the exact specification of vehicle required.
"The F-Series is both the definitive workhorse and, at the same time, ultimate pleasure machine," says Nic Harrison, the firm's dealer principal.
"Our Custom Division further refines the F-Series abilities, by adding equipment and features and enhance its capabilities, to make it suitable for particular work and pleasure roles and, when it comes to special paintwork and finishes, provide a unique level of personalisation that makes each F-Series a reflection of its owner's personality."
The F350 has been jacked up 80mm and rides on Dobinsons springs and dampers, complemented by 20-inch black wheels and Pro-Comp tyres. For off-roading at night as well, the F350 comes with LED roof lights, LED mirror-maker lenses and a total of eight flood light and spot lights, plus a hidden reversing light.
Additionally, the F350 comes with plenty of storage space, alloy plating for the front bumper, colour-coded wheel arch flares, leather-upholstered interior and large-format satellite navigation screen. Tail lights and the black grille have also been customised.
The whole look is very 'SR-71'. Hopefully the F350 doesn't drip fuel on the hard-standing.
Power is supplied by a 6.7-litre turbo-diesel V8 developing 328kW and an astonishing 1166Nm. According to Harrisons, a six-speed transmission conveys that torque to all four wheels for a towing capacity of 7.5 tonnes.
"This latest model from our custom division clearly shows the depth and breadth of customisation we are able to offer clients," says Harrison.
"In this case this is clearly an F-Series aimed at leisure, but it could just as easily have been fitted with winches, tow bars and a lined and reinforced load area to make it a workhorse of unrivalled strength and ability. The F-Series has a unique reputation and the Harrison F-truck Custom Division can tailor that legendary reputation to each customer's specific needs."
