Fiat’s Abarth performance brand has kicked off its 75th anniversary celebrations by releasing fresh photographs of the incoming 2024 Abarth 600e.
Abarth has also revealed that the small Fiat 600e-based SUV will be its most powerful car ever, thanks to its 177kW front-mounted electric motor.
Following an earlier teaser of a camouflaged Abarth 600e testing on track, the three new images fully unveil the Abarth 600e, revealing how designers have transformed the regular Fiat 600e into a track-suited challenger to hot EVs like the Cupra Born and Volkswagen ID.3 GTX.
Featuring an angrier look, the hot Abarth 600e gets a new body kit with a deeper front spoiler, a revised rear bumper complete with diffuser, plus a large rear spoiler.
Also adding visual aggression are 20-inch alloy wheels with lime yellow accents for the brake callipers, as well as scorpion emblems.
Instead of the 115kW the Fiat 600e musters, the Abarth 600e gets a new 177kW motor that drives the front wheels and is paired with a limited-slip differential.
There’s no word on battery size, but it’s thought the Abarth 600e keeps the standard car’s 54kWh power pack. If true, expect the range for the fast Abarth to be around 320km.
When it’s introduced, Abarth says it will unleash a new Abarth 600e Scorpionissima launch edition that will be limited to 1949 units – a reference to the year the brand was founded.
More details will be released following the Abarth 600e’s official launch, which is scheduled for June.
