Airbnb is offering a pair of keen Ferrari fans the chance to sleep among famous race cars inside the iconic Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy.
The new offering is part of Airbnb’s Icons series, which offers experiences across music, art and sports, as well as overnight stays inspired by popular movies and franchises, including Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse and Shrek’s Swamp.
Now, fans of the Prancing Horse brand can queue up for their own experience and book an overnight stay inside the Sala delle Vittorie, or ‘The Hall of Victory’, where historic race-winning cars surround a large, leather-bound bed for you to tuck into.
It’s even made from the same leather as Ferrari car seats and stitched together using the same techniques from Ferrari’s in-house tailors.
There’s also plenty of silverware to feast your eyes on, with 110 trophies lined up for viewing.
Available from May 19 for two guests, the experience also includes a hot lap around the Italian performance vehicle brand’s Fiorano test circuit in a Ferrari 296 GTB supercar with Scuderia Ferrari ambassador and racer, Marc Gene.
Gene happens to be the Airbnb host behind the experience, which also includes VIP tickets to watch Emilia-Romagna’s premier race in Imola and a private tour of the museum.
Naturally, guests who book the experience are also treated to the ultimate gourmet Italian dining experience at Cavallino, famously known as Enzo Ferrari’s favourite restaurant.
In describing the unique experience, Gene said guests will not only see the victorious cars that made Ferrari an integral part of motorsport history, but also get an up-close look at Ferrari’s legacy of expert craftsmanship.
“So this [main] room designed just for you carries on that same legacy of unparalleled craft. For instance, the length of metal used in the main room’s design is 3000 metres in total, which is the exact length of the Fiorano racetrack,” said Gene.
“The curves and sleek lines of the space are reminiscent of the shape and form of all my favourite Ferrari cars.”
