Ferrari reveals one-off SP275 RW Competizione
F12-based supercar claimed to be inspired by mid-1960s 275 GTB/C SpecialeA one-off Ferrari thought to based on the F12tdf has been caught in the wild by fans of the Italian supercar-maker.
Called the SP275 RW Competizione, the yellow coupe has been reportedly commissioned by wealthy Florida dentist, Rick Workman, to pay tribute to the 1964 275 GTB/C Speciale.
Created as a one-off by Ferrari Special Program in cooperation with Ferrari Styling Centre, the SP275 follows in the tyre tracks of the recent 458 MM Speciale.
Like that car, the F12-based supercar features a custom-built carbon-fibre body and side gills that are supposed conjure up images of the original.
Under the bonnet, the SP275 is believed to come equipped with a 6.3-litre V12 that produces either the same 536kW/690Nm as the F12 Berlinetta. More likely though, is its owner probably opted for the far wilder 574kW/705Nm output from the F12tdf.
If so, the one-off Ferrari should be capable of matching the F12tdf's 0-100km/h dash of just 2.9 seconds and compete the 0-200km/h sprint in just 7.9 seconds. Top speed, meanwhile, will be 340km/h.
It's not known how much the American dentist paid for his one-off Ferrari but it's thought that SP275 RW Competizione would have set him back at least $3 million.
