Ferrari has teased its new facelifted FF supercar’s nose in its press release for ithe company's 2015 financial results.
Although not confirmed by the car-maker, the image is almost certain to be the revised FF and follows on from the recent teasing VIP invite to the supercar’s launch at the Lake Como Villa Erba event that also teased the FF.
This teaser image, showing a pair of slim sweptback headlights, is evidence the FF has undergone plenty of new sheet metal changes to bring it in line with cars like revised California T and 488 GTB.
According to rumours, the big changes occur under the bonnet where it’s speculated the current engine, a 486kW/683Nm 6.3-litre V12, might have been upgraded with a hybrid-drive electric motor for more (combined) torque –- possibly in lieu of the current Power Transfer Unit driving the front wheels.
The other rumour is the current car’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission will be junked for a new eight-speed unit.
Finally, some commentators are suggesting Ferrari might also offer a cheaper version of the FF that will lift its engine from the new 488 GTB. If true, it will come equipped with 500kW/760Nm 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8. That means the V12 hybrid set-up will have to come with a big increase in power to justify its extra cost over any entry-level V8.
Other changes to the FF will include a new infotainment and sat-nav upgrade and the introduction of more personalisation options and improved finishes.
