Ferrari North Europe has revealed it now has more than 1000 cars registered to break the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of Ferrari cars the UK’s Silverstone circuit on September 15.
Ferrari North Europe previously set the record at 385 cars assembled on the Silverstone track during the Ferrari Racing Days event in 2007 — a number later increased to 490 cars.
Since then Ferrari North Europe has had the ambition to set a Guinness World Record with 1000 cars, with the support of the Ferrari Owners Club and Ferrari enthusiasts all over Europe, and the recently extended Silverstone Grand Prix circuit’s ability to accommodate more than 1000 vehicles.
Registrations for this year’s event remain open and Ferrari will donate £5 for every car entered in the world record attempt to automotive industry charity BEN.
The world record attempt will again be hosted in conjunction with Ferrari Racing Days, which is billed as the only motor racing event in the UK where Ferrari fans will see the ultra-exclusive FXX and 599XX development cars on track.
This year’s Silverstone Ferrari-fest will also host a wide range of historic Ferrari F1 cars from the F1 Clienti department, along with a big schedule of races including the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and the Pirelli Ferrari Open.
