Fiat has delivered 3000 cars to the organisers of the 2006 Winter Olympics. Set to kick off on Feb 10, the day after Fiat previews its new Grande Punto Down Under, the snow sports extravaganza is hosted this year in Fiat's hometown Turin.
No wonder, therefore, the Italian car maker's new four wheel drive, the Fiat Sedici (pictured), has been named the official Olympic car of the 2006 games.
As well as providing transport for officials, Fiat has also provided additional vehicle support for particular teams, including the Jamaican Bobsleigh team (also pictured).
According to Fiat Olympic fleet will be made up of 2000 Fiat Sedicis and other Fiat Group cars including the Grande Punto, the Fiat Croma, Panda 4x4, Fiat Idea, Alfa 159, Alfa Crosswagon, Lancia Musa and the Lancia Phedra and Thesis flagships.
