F1 Grand Prix role play game will be a winnerDue to arrive in September on PS3, Xbox360, Sony Vita, Nintendo 3DS and, of course, PC, F1 2011 promises to bring the exciting world of Formula One racing into the living room with increased levels of sophistication.
Developer Codemasters has used its access to F1 team race engineers, mechanics and drivers, combined with real world data including CAD and on-board telemetry, to refine modelling of both cars and circuit characteristics for the game.
Features to expect in this new release include both day and night racing (particularly during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix), a full weather system, all new rule changes such as DRS (Drag Reduction System), KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) and Pirelli tyres. All current drivers and team will be features as well as two new circuits -- Budda International Circuit in India and Nürburging.
Multiplayer functionality has also been boosted with this release and split-screen racing is included for the first time in a high-definition F1 title.
Competitive online racing is extended with 16 players going head-to-head in GRAND PRIX with up to 8 AI (artificial intelligence) drivers added to simulate the full grid of 24 drivers. A new co-op Championship enables two players to lead their favourite F1 team to Driver and Constructor glory across the course of a season.
