A new tease of the pure-electric Fisker SUV that is set to be revealed this December suggests the zero-emission Tesla Model Y fighter might come with either a massive sunroof or peel-back rear roof.
The latest tease, posted on founder Henrik Fisker's Twitter account, shows the overhead console that clearly includes switchgear for a sunroof option that, according to the caption, will offer an "all open, without being a soft top" choice.
Described as a "California package", it's thought the battery-powered SUV will get either a large retractable roof panel or a soft-back, that will fold in a similar way to the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet that was launched back in 2017.
With a price tag already to start from around $40,000 ($A55,000), the relaunched brand’s CEO has confirmed the company's most affordable model will debut in 2021 and mirror Tesla’s strategy of selling direct to customers, rather than via a dealer network.
Among the other details already revealed, the Fisker SUV will offer a range of around 500km, and it will come with a powerful 80kWh lithium-ion battery pack providing power for the two electric motors that will drive all four wheels.
