Fisker has announced it will start accepting orders for its all-new EMotion model on June 30 and that the pure-electric sedan will be priced from $US129,900 ($A165,000) in North America.
Teasing three new images of its Tesla Model S rival's nose, the US car-maker says it is now inviting prospective owners to place their deposit on www.fiskerinc.com.
Along with the new images, the US car-maker has confirmed the production vehicle will come with a range of more than 650km thanks to its graphene battery technology -- much more than the current Tesla Model S P100D.
The EMotion is also claimed to have a 260km/h top speed.
Claiming to have developed its own battery pack and cooling system, Fisker says a nine-minute charge, using its pioneering UltraCharger, provides for a range of more than 160km.
When production beings in 2019, the car-maker says the EMotion will come with full self-driving capability thanks to a lidar system hidden in the car's nose. The side mirrors, meanwhile, conceal two cameras. In total, the pure-electric sedan will be able to offer a 360-degree view.
Initially, the EMotion will be made by Michigan, USA-based VLF Automotive.
Following the launch of the EMotion, Fisker has already confirmed a cheaper, mass-market vehicle will follow that will be based on a new modular pure-electric car platform. That car is thought to be a direct rival for the Tesla Model 3.
