Ford’s official PR drip-feed of the Focus RS gets interesting in episode 5 of the Rebirth series when engineers admit, while testing at the Artic Circle in Sweden, that the Focus RS mules aren’t making enough power or torque to be class-leading.
The fascinating doco also shows the Focus RS drifting on a frozen lake with competitors like the Subaru Impreza STi.
It’s there the new Focus RS once again comes into criticism from the project leader, this time for being “too quiet and too smooth”.
