Ford has released Episode six of its Focus RS development saga, and its a 'man-and-machine-against-the-odds' drama that we all love for its inevitable happy ending.
The new video sees Ford execs panic over failing engines as the engineering team aims to make the 254kW/440Nm 2.3-litre Ecoboost engine reliable for production.
We also see engineers test the standard launch control to ensure the all-wheel drive hatch is on target to hit 100km/h, from standstill, in less than five seconds.
Finally, we go to Ford’s factory in Germany where the production line is being prepared for the arrival of the RS hatch where 53 prototypes have to be built before the RS is signed off for production.
