Blue Oval buffs from around Australia will come together at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway this Sunday (May 31). The track is hosting an All Ford Day which organisers believe will be the biggest gathering of its kind this year.
Organisers are expecting 20 leading Ford Car Clubs from around Australia to attend. That should mean over 1000 vehicles on display and it is anticipated it will attract 30,000 spectators.
Ford Performance Vehicles is sponsoring the day and will have a full range of its line-up on display.
Rod Barrett FPV's General Manager explains that the brand was keen to support not only the event but the large contingent of Ford fans.
"When there was an opening for FPV to support the AFD we saw it as a fantastic opportunity to recognise the heritage and passion of our brand -- it's such a great fit for FPV, it's really what we're all about," Barrett says. "It's always been about our owners and the history of Ford and FPV. We've worked closely with event organisers and our 2008 FPV Eastern Region Dealer of the Year -- Sinclair Ford to showcase the best FPV has to offer. My thanks to all involved in the AFD and this event will continue to grow and spread the fantastic Ford / FPV story."
Gates will open at 9am with admission costing $2. Kids under 12 will be admitted free. In keeping with the family friendly nature of the event it will be an alcohol free zone.
