Ford has released pricing details for the updated SZ Ford Territory MkII. And like its Falcon factory-mate, recommended retail prices have been slashed... Or in Ford speak: "Realigned".
The new range now kicks off at $36,990, a $3000 reduction. That buys you the rear-drive petrol 4.0-litre inline six-cylinder TX five-seater. A seven-seat option adds $2500.
The rear-drive petrol-engined variant of the top of the range Titanium series meantime has been slashed $6500 from $54,990 back to $48,490. Indeed, five of the nine SZ territory variants have had their retail prices cut by $6000 or more.
The full SZ Ford Territory MkII model walk is detailed below.
External changes are limited on the update – more changes are evident inside where the Territory picks up the same new voice-controlled SYNC2 infotainment system. Like Falcon, Territory gets automatic Emergency Assistance, DAB+ radio and WiFi hotspot capability as part of the tech upgrade.
Ford's venerable 4.0-litre six is unchanged in the updated model. So too is the 2.7-litre single turbo V6 TDCi turbo-diesel which in the existing model accounted for around 70 per cent of volume.
No manual Territory options exist.
The turbo-diesel attracts a premium of $3250 with all-wheel drive (available of TDCi models only) an additional $5000.
