Ford is kicking off a nationwide sale at participating dealers starting this Thursday by adding free registration and an extra two years' factory warranty to new vehicles signed-up during the specified period. Although the sale is due to end this Saturday, some dealers are extending it to Sunday.
Ford's latest bonus deals offer is in addition to a number of special offers including the latest extra value pack based on selected Falcon XR models and the half-price safety packs on a selection of existing Ford Focus stocks.
The key to Ford's latest offer is the extra factory warranty which is valued within the industry at $900-1100. Unlike some aftermarket extended warranties, Ford's latest offer is an extension of the original factory warranty and provides cover throughout Ford's national dealer network.
Although the time coverage is extended to five years, the distance component remains at 100,000km, a realistic distance covered by a private motorist over a five-year period.
This extra warranty is particularly useful for resale purposes when it allows private owners to sell a vehicle over four years old (and under five) with the balance of new car warranty. Along with the free registration, Ford new car buyers can achieve over $1500 in extra value during this bonus deal period.
