Four-model Captiva range

Holden has confirmed the launch line-up for its new Captiva SUV. And it's just like CarPoint told you last month

Holden will offer four models in its Captiva range. The company has officially confirmed its range will be topped by the MaXX model and includes SX, CX and LX specification levels. This is the same line-up CarPoint revealed several weeks ago (see here) .

The all-wheel drive Captiva is powered by a 3.2-litre Alloytec V6 engine good for 169kW and 297Nm. All models have a five-speed automatic transmission, with Active Select at the gear shifter, as standard. Descent Control System, cruise control and ESP are also standard. Side curtain airbags will be available across the range and are offered standard on all models except SX. Driver and front passenger airbags are standard on all models, and front and rear power windows.

Captiva SX and MaXX have five seats with a 60:40 fold-flat split second row. The CX and LX models offer seven seats, in which the second and third seating rows fold flat to carry long or bulky loads. The second row is 60:40 split; the third row 50:50 split. SX and CX comes with cloth trim while LX and MaXX will offer leather.

SX and CX are equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels while LX and MaXX have 18-inch alloys. According to Holden, all models have 200mm of ground clearance.

Holden says it will confirm Captiva's pricing when it is introduced later this year. CarPoint's sources have the range as follows: SX $35,990; CX $38,990; LX $41,990 and MaXX $42,990.
