The 2026 Ford Mustang will be available with a new FX package inspired by the third-generation ‘Fox body’ Mustang sold from 1979 until 1993.
The styling pack gives retro-obsessed buyers the option of 19-inch alloy wheels and nostril-like grilles that are both painted in Oxford White – but only if they’ve already ticked the box for the Performance Pack.
New paint options include an ’80s-inspired teal-like Adriatic Blue Metallic paint that mirrors the third-gen Mustang’s.
The FX Mustang gets a font from the 1980s’ Mustang, while the rear taillights sport white accents and a ‘5.0’ badge on the front fenders in white.
Inside, the FX pack throws in plaid inserts on the leather Recaro sport seats that come with either City Silver or Adriatic Blue stitching.
Other fun throwbacks include a Fox-body ’Stang Mustang GT badge
Ford hasn’t released pricing for the new FX Pack nor indicated if the styling package of updates will be offered on the coupe and convertible sold in Australia, but in the US it’s only available on the 5.0-litre V8.
