FPV open day

Blue oval hot-rod arm open to the public this weekend

If the Melbourne International Motor Show doesn't quench your thirst for fast and desirable cars don't worry, Ford Performance Vehicles will be holding its open day this Sunday (March 1).

The Ford performance division will open the doors to its Campbellfield headquarters between 9am and 3pm.

The day is a rare opportunity for members of the public to go inside the company's production facility to see how the muscle cars are made.

Over 400 past and present FPV machines will be on display.

Race fans are also catered for with the Ford Performance Racing workshop open for tours. The public will be able to see where the team prepares the Falcon V8 Supercars for drivers Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards.

The drivers will be on hand to sign autographs and answer questions throughout the day. There will also be food stalls, face painting, a jumping castle and an animal farm to entertain kids.

FPV is located at 33 Glenbarry Road, Campbellfield. Entry is a gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Guide Dogs Association of Victoria.
