Ford Performance Vehicles has released its most limited edition ute yet, the $57,990 Pursuit.
Released today alongside the RSPEC, the 75-run Pursuit gets similar cosmetics but none of the sedan’s mechanical upgrades. Yet FPV is still charging an extra $5000 compared to the GS ute it is based on.
“The customer is getting a limited edition that looks fantastic,” said FPV managing director Bryan Mears. “What’s not to like?”
“The market will take 75 of those vehicles at that price and they will disappear.”
Only available in the Silhouette (black) RSPEC hero colour with Vixen (orange) stripes and accents, the Pursuit also gets eight inch versions of the RSPEC’s alloy wheels, piano black interior finish, a manual gear lever with new badge design, premium sound, dual zone climate control and leather trim.
The Pursuit ute is powered by the same 315kW/545Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine as the GS. Its chassis set-up remains unchanged from the GS as well, the cost of modifications and homologation too expensive to justify.
