FPV's GM role filled
New General Manager for Ford's performance arm hails from FPRRod Barrett is the new head of Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV).
Barrett takes on the role of General Manager in the shadow of the management purge launched by parent company Prodrive back in January.
Formerly the Commercial Director of Ford Performance Racing, Barrett also has hands-on experience circuit racing in Britain between the years of 1979 and 1992.
Citing Barrett's interest in performance motoring and his extensive background in management with Coca-Cola and the Fosters Group, Prodrive Asia Pacific Managing Director Bryan Mears said "Rod joins FPV at a time when the company has just recorded its equal second best sales month ever, and he is the ideal person to lead a new FPV team into the next phase of the company's growth."
His appointment takes effect from August 1.
