Performance car fans will be pleased to know that FPV's new supercharged V8 models are ready to roll.
More than 300 brand new V8-powered FPVs were assembled at the niche car maker's Campbellfield facility on the outskirts of Melbourne, which will be delivered to dealers ahead of their official on-sale date, Monday October 25.
Ford Performance Vehicles new range of supercharged V8s come in two guises, the high output 335kW version that powers the GT, GT-P and GT E models, and the 315kW engine found in the entry-level FPV GS models.
"We've already allocated every car we can make to dealers between now and the end of this year," said FPV General Manager Rod Barrett said.
"It's an exciting time ... the interest in the new cars is the best we've ever seen, and the response from the media has certainly reinforced our belief that we've produced the best-ever Australian-made performance cars."
