Frankfurt concept car to reach production

A production version of Peugeot's 308 RC Z design study will go on sale in 2010

Peugeot's Director General, Jean-Philippe Collin, announced at the Lisbon motor show that the company will build a new coupe based on the 308 RC Z unveiled in Frankfurt last year.

The production car will be renamed and both the name and the final product will make an international debut at Frankfurt next year -- just two years after the reveal of the design study (more here).

Peugeot considers both the concept and the production version of the car represent a departure from the company's traditional styling paradigm for the coupe.

We're beginning to lose count of the distinct body styles built or proposed for production on the 308 platform. So far, we count the hatch, the wagon (more here), CC (more here), 3008 mini MPV (more here) and now this coupe.
