Boutique London-based prestige car maker Eterniti has revealed the design of its first ever vehicle, the Hemera luxury SUV.
While Eterniti claims it is a new manufacturer, the Hemera SUV is based on the Porsche Cayenne underpinnings and some would argue the company is merely a tuning house, like German-based Brabus.
Along with the new images, which show a 'prototype' design, Eterniti has revealed that the new 4x4 will be capable of speeds close to 300km/h due to its 456kW engine. This would make it significantly more powerful than the 368kW Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
However the company is yet to release details on whether the engine is also from the Porsche factory or if it plans to build a bespoke powerplant.
Perhaps the biggest thing going for the Eterniti Hemera is that F1 legend Johnny Herbert is a brand ambassador for the company, and is also believed to be contributing to the development of the vehicle.
Furthermore, the man responsible for the Jaguar XJ220 supercar of the early '90s has also been recruited by Eterniti and is heading up the engineering team for the Hemera project. Judging by the sizable rear carbon-fibre diffuser we can expect a vehicle that will be just as much at home on the race track as on Fleet Street.
Eterniti is spruiking the new model as the world's first Super-SUV, a vehicle that will "bring new levels of luxury and performance to the SUV segment when production starts in 2012."
The company says the new model is "hand-built in London" (with a little help from Porsche's German factory?) and will offer limousine-like levels of luxury thanks to twin reclining rear electric seats, a drinks chiller, and iPads.
Eterniti is aiming to please even the fussiest buyers; potential owners will be able to tailor their cars to their own tastes with plenty of customisations.
