FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: MINI Coupe debut

There's no telling how the world will react to this new MINI with just two seats, but one thing's certain — it's uncompromising

The MINI Coupe will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this month, and it's practically guaranteed to draw large crowds to the company's stands.

Riding on an exclusive suspension setup, the MINI Coupe will also offer powerful petrol or diesel drivetrain options, tauter body construction and improved aerodynamics — for those buyers who want their MINI without an ounce of fat.

As with other models in the MINI range, the Coupe is anticipated to come with a large selection of paint and trim options, but according to the company's press release, the Coupe doesn't dispense entirely with practicality. There's luggage space amounting to 280 litres behind the seats.

MINI will have its entire range of vehicles on display, including the Countryman SUV, the MINI Cabrio and the Clubman. In addition, the company will launch the prestige accessory range, MINI Yours, at the show. One of the cars promoting the MINI Yours range is the MINI INSPIRED BY GOODWOOD, which was built with input from at design team employed by Rolls-Royce — another company that, like MINI, is owned by BMW.
